Wichita Airport Authority
IT Capital Plan & IT High-Level Design
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Faith Group was hired by Wichita Airport Authority (WAA) to develop an IT Capital Plan to help enhance the Dwight D. Eisenhower (ICT) Airport’s capability to operate during the outbreak. ICT required an assessment of over 40 technology systems, which called for a go-forward strategy and planning for the next decade. Faith Group worked alongside the Airport and the City of Wichita to develop a go-forward Capital Plan for the Airport, along with enhanced IT support model and structure. The project included multiple recommendations, such as IT Support, Network Architecture, Safety & Security, Passenger Systems, Operational Systems, and Airport IT.
Under a separate contract, the WAA requested Faith Group to develop a comprehensive High-Level IT Design for new network, cybersecurity technology and service hosting infrastructure. The network supported ICT & Colonel James Jabara (AAO) Airport’s current and near-term future services and applications, aligns with industry best practices, current trends, and addresses ICT/AAO’s business and technical requirements. After an evaluation of existing infrastructure and market offerings, the firm provided a plan to support a secure multi-tenant campus and data center environment using network virtualization technology across a common physical network infrastructure.
