The Metropolitan Government of Nashville and Davidson County selected Faith Group for a multi-year, task order-based security and security technology consulting contract to provide a wide range of security planning and design services to support the growing region. The contract is administered by the General Services Division and available for use by any city and county departments. Facility types within the scope range from courthouses, health centers, police facilities, radio towers, community centers, office buildings, and theaters. Faith Group’s responsibilities include coordinating with multiple stakeholders and agencies across the county, collaborating with ongoing construction projects and contractors, and updating out-of-date risk assessments at various facilities. Current project assignments include:
- Emergency Communications Center (ECC) Security Upgrades – The ECC serves as the Command Center for police, fire and emergency medical services (EMS), and the Office of Emergency Management (OEM). The center operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week and is responsible for answering 9-1-1 phone lines. dispatching Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services to the citizens of Nashville.
- Historic Courthouse and Howard Office Building Security Assessments – The Historic Metro Courthouse serves as the Davidson County Courthouse, Nashville’s City Hall, and offices of the Mayor of Nashville and the Nashville City Council.
- Lower Broadway Pedestrian Improvements – This project improves safety and security related to replacing retractable traffic barrier systems along a several block entertainment district that hosts festivals and events.
- NDOT Operations Facility Perimeter Security Improvements – This project includes improvements to the facility’s perimeter and vehicle access control point design to include a new guard house, automated gates, and CCTV camera systems.
