Memphis International Airport
Multiple Projects and Programs
Memphis, TN
Faith Group was selected in 2013 to develop the Airport’s first technology and security master plan. Since that effort, the firm has worked hand-in-hand with Airport stakeholders on the rebuild of Memphis International Airport (MEM). As the airport lead IT and Security consultant for more than a decade, the firm’s work has transformed the airport into a modern terminal facility. The Concourse Modernization renovation and expansion of Concourse B programs consolidated the airport’s operations from three concourses to one. A key design consideration was maintaining operations while construction took place to physically expand the Concourse B floor plate. This required careful planning to ensure service continuity of access control, CCTV, and multi-user flight information display systems (MUFIDS) which could not disrupt ongoing airport operations. Our scope included infrastructure expansions to facilitate redundancy within the facility and a new common cabling system was implemented to support phasing during construction. Other enhancements include new VoIP phones/telecommunications, dynamic signage, distributed antenna system (DAS), Wi-Fi, and a new digital public address system. Faith Group’s scope of work included complete design, bid phase, and construction administration services.
