Indianapolis International Airport
Multiple Projects and Programs
Indianapolis, IN
The Indianapolis International Airport (IND) is a consistent airport industry leader and has been nationally recognized by industry organizations for the past two decades. During this time, Faith Group assisted IND with several key projects that include security planning, design, engineering, procurement document creation, and construction administration services for a variety of security technologies through a two-phase program. The firm conducted stakeholder interviews and provided planning-level analysis and recommendations related to the video surveillance (VSS), access control, identity management, perimeter intrusion detection, exit lane breach control, security integration/event management, and security communications infrastructure. Faith Group also led development and submittal of an OTA funding application request to the TSA, which resulted in design and engineering of a full video surveillance system (VSS) replacement, access control upgrade, and mechanical gate upgrade. The project included replacing the video management system headend and new biometric readers throughout the airport. Additional cameras were added around the perimeter of the FIS area to enhance situational awareness for the airport and Customs & Border Protection (CBP). Faith Group ensured the airport’s IT systems and networks were robust, backed-up, and protected with cybersecurity considerations in mind.
Other IND projects include three safety risk assessments for major repair and rehabilitation airfield projects and providing airfield operational, safety, IT, and security subject matter expertise for a Sustainability Master Plan. This is an extremely important planning effort as IND plans for a future cargo and airfield expansion associated with the region’s needs.
