Faith Group is providing engineering design and consulting services for a new 3-story Advanced Manufacturing Center, located on the STLCC Florissant Valley Campus. Each level of the facility has its own purpose. The Lower Level includes labs and workshop spaces for metal works, robotics, welding, fabrication, along with engineering, core space, and a receiving dock. The Main Level includes the Emerson program suite, administration office suites, classrooms; HVAC, Biomed, 3D printing labs, core space, and main east entry lobby. The Upper Level includes classrooms; computing, plc, electronics labs, and robotics labs; lounges, and core space.
Faith Group is designing the MEP/FP and low voltage systems for the facility. The mechanical system includes new systems connected to the campus hot and chiller water central plants. The electrical system includes a new service from the campus substation, lighting, power, and fire alarm systems for the facility. The plumbing and fire protection systems include new sanitary waste and vent, domestic water, natural gas, and a wet sprinkler service with a fire pump. The low voltage systems include voice & data infrastructure, Wi-Fi, video surveillance, access control, intrusion detection, and audiovisual. Faith Group will also provide support during the bid phase and construction phase providing construction administration services.
This state-of-the-art facility is part of the District-Wide Master Plan to ensure programs and facilities can meet the job training and retraining demands for good paying jobs in Missouri. The facility will support multiple programs (Engineering, Information System/Information Technology, Emerson STEM Academy, Center for Workforce Integration), creating a space for students to learn and innovate in manufacturing, technology, and technical trades.
