Major League Soccer (MLS)
New Stadium and SOMA Development
St. Louis, MO
Faith Group worked with the design-build team and 3rd-party commissioning contractor to provide on-site field commissioning services for MEP systems for the new Major League Soccer stadium in St. Louis. The commissioned systems include highly specialized equipment such as integrated hydronic field heating systems, variable refrigerant flow (VRF) cooling, industrial laundry, and uninterruptable power supply systems.
Under a separate contract, the firm worked with the design and construction team for the new South of Market (SOMA) development facilities. SOMA includes 8.5-acre practice fields, a commercial development building (stadium administration, sports training operations, and retail and commercial lease space), a training facility (home and visiting team with locker rooms, workout facilities, dining, team theater room, and other amenities), and a maintenance building. Faith Group provided design and construction administration for IT and communications, audiovisual (AV), security, digital media, and structured cabling systems, as well as coordination for cellular DAS and field broadcast systems. This project required highly specialized equipment including play performance cameras and an AV display called the War Room, where players meet and review performance footage. Both projects required Faith Group to incorporate a significant level of community interaction into the design and commissioning.
