IP Camera Outage Diagnosis and Remediation

Following a major capital development program, and subsequent network upgrades, Javits Convention Center was experiencing reoccurring camera outage issues and other video surveillance system performance and reliability concerns. Faith Group identified and fixed these issues by implementing new configurations and IP schema to resolve camera stability issues present in the video surveillance environment, and improved system performance and reliability.
To accomplish this outcome, Faith Group conducted multiple on-site observations for testing and analysis. Our staff provided hands-on evaluation at all levels of the camera system, as well as a holistic environment approach, which encompassed a review of everything from the system storage and servers out to the cameras themselves.
Faith Group was then tasked to work with Javits staff to provide solutions for the system issues. We provided technical leadership and hands-on remediation services, deploying subject matter experts for the video management system, Cisco network, virtualized recorder infrastructure, and cabling. We maintained multiple legacy integrations with existing systems through upgrades and provided performance enhancements for key analytic features, such as license plate recognition.
The result of this investigation and remediation project was not only a functioning system but also enhanced functionality that exceeded the goals and expectations of Javits staff.
