Daytona Beach International Airport
Terminal Renovation and Security System Upgrade
Daytona Beach, FL
Daytona Beach International Airport (DAB) serves as Florida’s east coast gateway to multiple tourist destinations: beaches, Daytona 500 Raceway, and Space Ports. As traffic continues to increase, the airport developed a capital improvement program aimed at capacity enhancement and passenger experience improvements. As the Airport’s trusted IT and security system advisor, Faith Group has served as the Lead Systems Engineer for a number of projects including the Airport Terminal Renovation Program. The firm provided complete engineering for mechanical, electrical, lighting, fire protection, technology, and security systems. Additionally, Faith Group provided evaluation, planning, and implementation services for a variety of suggested improvements to infrastructure and passenger related services to include holdroom mobile device charging stations and a new state-of-the-art check-in video wall solution.
Under a separate contract, Faith Group led the analysis, design, bidding, and construction support services for a campus-wide security system upgrade. This project included a full physical access control system replacement, video surveillance enhancements, and facial recognition biometrics, along with all supporting network and physical infrastructure and cybersecurity considerations. The security system upgrade also covered the data center, vehicle perimeter gates, checkpoints, barriers, and a full redesign of the Airport and Emergency Operations Centers.
